Chris has a wide range of architectural design experience, stretching from contemporary to
historic recreation. He received his Master of Architecture degree from Norwich University in 2002.
Chris spent his early career in the field, learning the construction trade in an effort to gain practical
construction experience to enhance his knowledge of architecture. Having enjoyed his time in
construction so much, Chris spent 15 years with a pencil in one hand and a hammer in the other; as the
owner and project manager of his own design/build firm here in the Lakes Region.
Chris’s knowledge and experience in design and construction enhance both the design and construction
processes by allowing the creation of his designs to flow into the construction process. Even in the
early stages of the design, Chris is mentally building the structure.
He finds the overlooked opportunities and brings his creativity to the most minor details. The installation of every piece of
lumber and trim is carefully considered and helps to provide the greatest accuracy and smoothest
When not designing, Chris spends his time outdoors here in the lakes and mountains. He is an avid skier
and windsurfer. He also enjoys hiking and kayaking with his wife Julie, daughter and their dog Tallulah.
